Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a hair removal system by light, which acts selectively on the hair. It is a safe treatment, which must be performed under supervision of a licensed professional.

Before start the removal, the patient must comply with a trial test to check the characteristic of the skin and set the appropriate power of the laser to remove the hair safely and as quickly as possible. The laser must have the power and wavelength enough to capture the melanin in the hair and gradually destroy the cells that cause it.

The professional must determine the start of the treatment and the space between sessions, which vary depending on the amount of hair and area treated. During the intermission, the shaved area is free of hair; when it begins to appear is time for the next session. After the first session, the amount of hair is less than it used to be and that remaining hair takes longer to grow, so that the interval between sessions can be 3 or 4 months until disappear.

The laser is used to shave all hair in the body. It is a painless, fast and effective treatment. The length depends on the size of the area (from 5 minutes the upper lip, underarms about 15 minutes up to 2 hours full legs)

After the treatment, laser hair removal does not require main care but avoiding sunbathing and using self-tanners the days before and after the session to prevent discoloration of the skin.
