The Importance of Physical Activity - part 1

To define the concept of health is complicated due to the many variables that must be taken into account: perception and personal experience, socioeconomic status, religion, lifestyle and culture among others. WHO (World Health Organization) proposes to think of health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease"

Carrying a physically active lifestyle keeps us from chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease. Thus, physical activity has a direct impact on life expectancy: the population where physical activity is more intense tends to live longer. It is a reality, then, that people who exercise regularly feel better after the activity than before, both physically and mentally, which is reflected in their quality of life. And this is because, besides the physical benefits, exercising has also psychological benefits.

In our next meeting here, in Aurea – Aesthetic Surgery’s blog, we will describe the benefits for our body when performing physical activity regularly.

  1. America needs more physical fitness in our daily lives, it should be an extension of your day. Get up, get out, and get moving :)
